Some studies show it does, most show it does nothing or raises it. Some people are hyper sensitive to caffeine and it can majorly raise their blood sugar by triggering an adrenaline spike which will lead to the liver releasing too much glucose.

It raises mine way way way up if I have it with heavy creamer and sugar. If I drink it pure black , it lowers mine way way way down too low. I am caffeine sensitive. ANNE

Doubtful. I drink 2 cups with milk every morning and see no effect on my BG. Of course I account for the milk carbs in my morning insulin bolus.

Coffee generally raises my BG numbers a bit. Some say it lowers their BG numbers others say it has no effect. ONLY your BG meter can tell you which group to which you belong. I avoid coffee but not due to my BG readings. Coffee is hard on kidneys also.

Some people on here say it does reduce theirs. I find it usually raises mine 5-10 points, unless I use creamer and then its a big jump.
