Hi yall, Does any one have or know were I can find a list of things a diabetic should have in there kitchen to cook with. Such as spices, condiments…etc I dont really know what I should be cooking with yet, I see all the great recipes but half of it I dont have yet so if I could find out what I need to succeed instead of eating the same things over and over with no joy in eating then I could get what I need and stop playing a guessing game.

Thank you

Actually, depending on whether you're on medication or not, how closely your restrict carbs and how you react to foods, there aren't many differences between a "diabetic" diet and a "regular"diet. I am sure that with a little practice you will see that you're eating much healthier than you ever did before and will be surprised how poorly we all eat. I have to tell you thought that I do believe that a lot of the problem is food additives and I hope you will read labels closely from now on.

All the best.

I think that you could start stocking up on some of the things that you would like to try cooking and you should also be able to use most of what you already have. Do look closely at the recipes though. Some of them are not as diabetic friendly as they could be. Good luck…good cooking!!!
