I found out about this mineral on a website, so I had to try it, if you take 2 pills daily 500 mcg ea, within four months your b/s level should be more stable, I'll find out for sure in about four months, I just started it last week, and I noticed that my b/s level started dropping some, but can't really tell for sure if it's the pills or not, I haven't changed my diet.

Hi there, you can get it at any grocery store or pharmacy. It's on the isle with the other vitamins, just ask the pharmacist and they will help you look for it.

I have just stared using it myself and have been taking it for about two weeks. I am not changing a lot of what I do currently, so see how it works. I didn't know it took so long to kick in. My levels have been coming down a little as well. Here is my discussion on it, there are some good replies you might want to read. http://www.diabeticconnect.com/discussions/14102-chromium-do-you-use-it

Thanks Gabby, yes we will see what comes of it, I really do hope it works, so the doc can cut back on my insulin intake. If there is anybody else out there who is trying it please feel free to respond.

Chromium Picolinate matched with Biotin is the main ingredients in DiaChrome that my CDE told me to start using. I use the Biotin daily just keep forgetting the Chromium Picolinate. It does work great. You can find it at Wal-Mart Vitamin Isle its a small bottle.

Thanks T, say it works good for you, that's great. I'm gonna continue using mine regardless if it helps you or not, I'm sure it can't harm you. After all it is a mineral.

You can build up a level sufficient to cause toxicity. I was taking it 3x/day when first diagnosed. I like it and used it for 2-3 years, then found my pulse increased and intestines were in chaos. Stopped Chromium for a while & reduced symptoms; resumed chromium & reactivated symptoms.

I now use it occasionally, if nothing else is working for me, but this is after several years of not using it at all.

Just because it's natural doesn't mean it's safe. We always have to research things we put in our bodies. I have read that most of us are deficient in it, and that is why such high doses are recommend. I don't need it to cause heart issues, so it was great to see that you have that experience to share with us.

I know I say it a lot, but our bodies are quite remarkable and keep a balance that we are hard pressed to match in manual mode.

Oh yes I do realize that our bodies are chemically balanced and we throw that off by to much of one chemical or the other, then that would throw off the balance of our systems to regulate properly. Our bodies are a complex form created by our creator who mastermind the whole complete system, so every single living organism in our bodies works in unison of the other to make our bodies function in syncrynized order. The Lord Heavenly Father is a wonderful creator to create something as a human being life form.
