Hi DC Pals! I have been busy back at work following 9 weeks off to address my out of control BG numbers. The first two weeks back have been great. I have so much energy and concentration. I returned to a warm welcome from my colleagues and clients. My BFF at work is so supportive and we walk everyday at breaks and lunch. My body feels so good and I make it through my 10 hour days with out the old feelings of exhaustion, depression and body discomfort. I want to give all of you, my DC Pals, a warm thank you for all of the support, inspiration, knowledge, and love you provided to me during the 9 weeks I was at home healing, body and soul. I look forward to your ongoing company on this journey and I love you all! {{Hugs}} Sherrie

Its at a time of healing a person can feel most vulnerable
Thank you for letting us share that tender time
I pray the hard times are past you and better times lay ahead.
May you always be embraced with empathy and love
at work, at home, in your community as well as here…
We are your second home and second family.
We will learn, laugh, mentor, counsel, and grow together

Here's to feeling better, Sherrie
and a richer, more rewarding life as friends…

I'm going on week 3 and my BG numbers are fantastic. I am carefully watching my diet and walking at least once a day with my friend at work. Lots of deep breathing as well.

Well, Sherrie, all I can say is you're welcome and it is a pleasure to be a small part of getting your diabetes, and therefore your life back in control. I say small part, because most of the effort to change your life habits came from YOU! KUDOS to you!

Please do not be a stranger, Sherrie! (I don't want the competition, 'cause I'm STRANGER THAN MOST! LoL!)

Thank you for your kind words (as always). I will be here, just not multiple times a day as before. You are all so precious to me!

Well I am usually on DC once a day. But sometimes I put in some pretty long days! It keeps me off the streets! LoL!

James we are worried about you. If there wasn't much love for you we would not worry…but there is and we are!

I really miss the time I was able to spend with you all during those many weeks. You all were there with a laugh, a hug, and a wealth of information and insight.

Yes, I've notice some days you are here when I come on and still here when I leave at night. Long days, indeed.

Hope your clock's about regulated. It's been six days and you are missed. Obviously, I'm counting.

I think it is about regulated.

The other issue is just after I wrote that the computers in the apt complex went down and I had to drive somewhere else to get on the internet, and some days I just didn't feel like driving ANYWHERE.

no they've been up for 3 or 4 days now. I had just been spoiled by having them free to me and having them just down the hall and an elevator ride up 1 floor. Had the outage remained much longer I would probably have had a cable modem installed. Then I doubt if I'd get out of the apartment at all except to shop and go to church.

true carol, but I am often computer-room bound now as it is. In fact I am considering shutting it down for the evening and listen to A Prairie Home companion, one of my fave radio programs.

Good choice. I'm now getting a sound 8 hrs/sleep per night and feeling much better because of it.
