Does anyone know of a website where I can list most of the foods I eat and they can take those foods and create a diabetic diet for me? I have looked at so many, but most of them are for weight loss and I am not trying to lose weight. I actually need to gain weight. Most of the sites that say they will customize a diet for you only has pre-chosen foods and I don't eat most of that stuff. Any help would be appreciated.

Probably your best bet would be to make an appointment with a dietitian who would take your likes and dislikes into account, add in your need to gain weight, and give you a proto type diet to try.

If insurance/finances are an issue, most of us plan our own and could help you. That's just help without a degree in dietetics.

Thank you Caroltoo. I welcome any help I can get. My issue is knowing which and how much foods I should and shouldn't eat. I have looked at so many websites and get so confused. One site tells you one thing and another site tells you another. I can't afford a dietician right now, but hopefully soon I will be able to see one.

I have it on a word doc, so if you accept my "friend" invitation, I will send it along to you. Without the acceptance, we can't share an email.

First of all, and I am not making light of your concern, I think most people at this can't even imagine having to gain weight. It is nonetheless your concern and I respect that.

I'm not sure about the "create a diabetic diet" for you. There are sites that will show you carbs, protein, calories, etc. in food. Some even with suggested meals. I have several sites that I will review and come back and post here.

All the best

Thanks! I know, it's bizarre that I am trying to gain weight. A lot of people just don't understand that it's just as hard to gain weight as it is to lose weight. I have been underweight all my life, an unhealthy underweight. I am not anorexic by any means. I inherited this from my dad.
