Favorite thing?

This is a spin-off question from the discussion on movies. In talking to Mays about "City of Angels" I mentioned that I liked the part where the angel asked the recently deceased what their favorite thing about living on Earth was. So, while our likely least favorite thing, diabetes, brings us all together, what's your favorite thing? What do you enjoy the most?

My life, plain and simple.
I look for the beauty in life first, without life I couldn't love, nor be loved.

Am I trying to hold on to it (?) yes by all means, every second of it, that's why I do whatever is necessary for me to manage my diabetes as well as I possibly can.
My most joyous moment was when I placed my finger in the palms of each of my four sons as babies and felt them wrap their hands around it, simply priceless!
(Without my life I wouldn't have ever experienced this, and I'll never forget it)

Everything else becomes secondary to my existence, knowwing that I give 110% everyday that I can, and as much as I can on other days allows me to see the world for what it truly is "beautiful," inspite of everything else.

That is beautiful, Mays. Thanks for responding. Our children and grandchildren certainly account for many moments of joy in our lives. And our children also give us reasons beyond ourselves to care for ourselves and our diabetes as best we can.

I know! I was an old Mom, turning 40 just a few months after my son was born. (Took me 8 years and 5 pregnancies to have one surviving child.) I have a long way to go if I'm going to see what my grandchildren do.
