Hi! Are you a Type 1 Diabetic with Narcolepsy or another sleep disorder? Are you having trouble with your overnight-morning blood sugars? I am 26 and I've had diabetes for over 20 years and I am recently experiencing more difficulty in my control. I take Lantus. Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Yes that's me too. things that help:
1. use a continuous blood glucose monitor with alarms,
2. One thing that really helped get my A1c down is to take about 2-3 units
of fast acting insulin about 2-3 hours before I usually get out of bed. I don't set an alarm, I usually wake up every hour at this point in my sleep cycle. Helps to
set up a pre-loaded syringe before going to bed. OF COURSE this only applies
if your BG is too high when you wake up as it always was for me.

Hi, I'm type 2 but insulin dependent. Diabetic since '93 on insulin since '01. I take Lantus and Humalog. I've been experiencing what I now realize is mild narcolepsy most of my life but it's been exacerbated by my diabetes over the last year. I'm only just figuring this out now so I don't have any tips for you but it's nice to know I'm not nuts and I'm not the only person this is happening too.

Sorry I have T1 but not narcolepsy. Sometimes I drop too low overnight and have seizures; I dont suffer with high sugar too often.
