So, I have a stuffy, runny nose and I can't stop sneezing. I'd like to nip this in the bud before it gets any worse. I went to the pharmacy and asked a pharmacist what the best cold and nasal decongestant for diabetics was and he brought me over to the right section and pretty much left me to my own devices.

Long story short, I did not get the right thing… So, what is the best thing to get when you're trying to fight off a cold, but keep control of your blood sugars? Obviously, asking the pharmacists didn't help me at all, so I hope someone here can!

Thanks! :)

Thanks. I ended up finding a pharmacist who knew what I was asking and got some nasal decongestant that don't affect my BG's. Thank you for the response!

It was a store brand nasal decongestant.. it has pseudoephdrine I've taken it for the past 2 days and it hasn't affected any of my readings. And my congestion has cleared up almost completely!
