So I've already been to your page, (sorry) to ask you to be friends. So, wanna be friends? People say that I'm sweet, but I promise you, that I won't raise your b/g levels. You have my word!!

Hi Carol, Sorry about the diagnosis. Are you type 1 or type 2? I'm asking because it does make a difference and it will allow you to get some specific pointers from others that are in your situation. There are alot of things to learn, but you can get alot of answers here. Check out the videos along with the discussions. Getting on the right path from the get go will help you to get control of diabetes and not let it control you!

Good luck on you new journey and remember you are not alone in it.

Howdy Carol! WELCOME to DiabeticConnect! Sorry you qualify for inclusion in our "little" family but since you do, I am glad you're here. I believe you've come to the right place.

Feel free to ask whatever is on your mind. In my opinion the only "foolish" or "stupid" question is a HONEST question which is NOT ASKED! And asking questions happens to get my creative juices flowing. I learn soooo much by researching questions for people. Questions I would not have thought about on my own.

Please feel free to also vent and confess to diabetes no-nos. (don't be afraid we won't bite —- hard that is —- LoL!)

You will find a great resource for information and the nuts and bolts practical applications of how to manage this condition we call diabetes. Very few of us have MDs or advanced medical degrees, but we DO have a lot of experience in "walking the walk" of living with diabetes. Some of us here have lived with diabetes over 60 years (and have lived to tell about it — LoL). It is a new world for you. Take some time and get used to your "new normal".

Please return often and share your experiences with us. We all are enriched when you do that.

Praying that God's richest blessings be to you and yours
