Thankyou to everyone for there thoughts and prayers for my beloved dog Banjo, he is now in doggie heaven. It was the saddest day of my life and the hardest. But the vet was loving and caring to him, after the injection he just went to sleep in Terry ( my partners ) arms it was so peaceful. Today I have happy tears as I am remembering the good times we spent together and the loyalty we shared for each other, it is going to be sad for a few more days but now I know that I did do the right thing, once again thankyou

I can definately relate ! I had a very similar experience about 1 year ago. I had my dog Jiggs for 14 years. I loved him like a son. I also took him to the vet for that final injection. It broke my heart, but like you I know it was best for the dog. I still miss him, but as the pain subsides, the good memories remain. I still have his sister. She is 13 and still spry and healthy! Check out my pictures if you like. Hopefully, Banjo and Jiggs are running around together in doggie heaven!!!

Keep those happy tears. They are good ones. Those memories will make you smile in the darkest times. Keep them close. Hugs for you my friend. I know fresh how that loss feels. Knowing he is not suffering anymore is great!

I have not been on in a few days, so I'm just now seeing this. I knew it was coming.
My prayers are with you. I know it hurts, but remember, he will be waiting for you when you finally go home. And he would not want you to be so sad. He is no longer in pain, and he still loves you! Cry the tears so you can heal, and then remember him with love. It will be okay friend.
Hope you have a Blessed Holiday,

Sad, yes, but also a joy to know that you gave your old friend peace and a new pain free existence. He will be missed by both of you.

I have to believe there is a place for those we love
While animals are not known to have souls
God knows the creatures he made
and the love we would have for certain companions

He is merciful to our fragility and vulnerability
He knows the love you bore for Banjo
It is said that Angels walk amongst us
Perhaps yours was Banjo…

I am so sorry that you and Terry had to say goodbye to Banjo. I can only imagine how difficult that must have been. I will keep you in my prayers, for comfort and joy when remembering Banjo's life.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I know how hard and heartbreaking losing an animal can be. Our animals are our family, they are our kids. I had to put my 15 yr old cat down and it about killed me but in the long run I know I did the right thing. It hurt to say good bye to her but I knew there was nothing more I could do and I refused to watch her suffer. I had her cremated because I did not have the heart to bury her. I just could not bring myself to doing that.
Now your precious Banjo and my kitty are in heaven chasing butterflies and romping through fields of flowers enjoying the freedom of a pain free life. I know words don't make us feel a whole lot better at this time but please know you are in my thoughts. God bless, take care.
