Well as you guys all know that my husband has been put on diaylsis. Well he has lost fifty pounds of water weight. Which I consider to be a great thing. During his stay at the hospital he has contracted a STAPH infection along with VRE I just don't know if he can afford anymore infections like this. He has already been on antibiotics for almost two months now. I just don't know but i am keeping my spirits high and his as well. You all just keep praying because we have a long road ahead of us and alot more road blocks to recovery come I'm sure. We can use all the prayers that we have can get and much more. Thank you

Hello dear. I have been off site for a bit, and just now have seen this. I'm sorry your road has been such a long one, but I hope that you keep your faith strong, you both can over come. As always you are both in my prayers.
Are they just doing dialysis to get fluid off, or do they think he will have to be on long term? Or do they even know yet? I pray it is short term!
Take care of yourself, and thank you for keeping us in the loop, I worry about you.
God Bless you both,
Love, Mickey

They think it is just short term. It was only to get the fluid off but his kidneys are still not functioning properly. Thank you so much for the prayers we will take all we can get. God bless you!

You are so welcome. I have had a lot of patience just do dialysis temporaryly to get off excess body fluid. So don't give up hope. Kidneys can jump back on line at any time, even after a couple of months!! Don't give up hope! Blessings to you both, Mickey

I can attest to what Mickey shared as in Nov 2006 my kidneys stopped working due to an infection. I thought that I was going to be on dialysis permanently. 10 mos later I got the happy news that my kidneys were up and running again and I could discontinue my treatments without harm to me. I pray that your hubby will come off soon too.

First I want to tell you You are in my prayers. I lift both of you up and pray healing to your husband of all infection and all disease!
Staph is highly contagious. Clorox bleach is the only thing known to kill it on surfaces. I would get some clorox wipes and take to where ever he is. Rubber gloves are a must. You do not have to touch the site itself. someones hand can touch the infection and then touch a counter top. It will live there until its bleached down. Scented bleach is less caustic to our nostrils.
