Have you ever eaten and felt like the food has gone straight into your blood stream, into your feet and all over your body?

Well at times depending on my numbers, sometimes I feel like whatever I have eaten has gone straight into my blood, no digesting or anything..just absorbed into my blood! My legs have this weird sensation and my entire body just does not feel right!. I dont know if its all in my mind but it happens. I dont know if its the insulin or what but this is some weird experience I have been having and its freaking me out! The tingle, numbness in my hand, the weakness in my legs are all activated more when this happens.. so sometimes I am scared of eating at all…

I have this happen every time I eat, regardless. I have had that happen for years, and I am 41 years old…it's not normal. I know that my highest numbers are after I eat—-after I feel the food in my bloodstream—well, I don't know if it's literally food going into the bloodstream, but you know what I mean. My numbers reflect the sensation without a doubt—-sometimes it's so bad I have to stop eating for a few minutes. I have erratic blood sugars. Almost every single one of my after eating numbers are 200-600. However, my lows later on are bad—-so far as I know—-because of a combination of factors, my lows are in the 50s-80s range…part of the reason is because I made the big big big mistake of doing drugs when I was 19, 20, and 21—-it screws up your system. I am 41 now—-just smoke cigarettes. I am down to under a pack a day for a whole year now. I often wonder how strong the body is in what it goes through day after day. ANNE

sometimes its within the right range..could be like 120… sometimes when its out its like 210… but either way i get the same sensations at times when i eat.. i believe there has been some nerve damage

I think it does just that sometimes!
Try to cut back on those Carbs and sugars and get more protein
Testing is your friend before and afterwards!

yes my body seems to hate carbs but with insulin they say u need to take in some..isnt that it? my body just does not like insulin… it is resisting it in every way. I even notice my face has become puffy since i started taking it and its not like i am putting on weight- its only there in my face. I am losing weight otherwise so I am beginning to worry that soon my face will look distorted…! this is scary

That's interesting—my body deals beautifully with slow acting insulin, but it does NOT go for fast acting…fast acting sends me too low too fast…there's always something new to learn. I have had an insulin mix before—-did good on that. Interesting stuff——ANNE
