Hi all!
I dont know whether this is diabetes related or not but I'm wondering If anyone has experienced any sort of heart ache/discomfort. I wouldn't really call it a pain but I'm only 19 so it doesn't feel right to be experiencing this. Any help would be great. Thanks!

It might be nothing, but then again it could be something. Going to the doctor would be your best bet. Better safe than sorry.
I know from personal experience that if you are under a lot of stress, your body can mimic a heartache. I tried talking myself out of it, but ended up going to the hospital. Come to find out my arteries were spasming from all the stress I was under. So even though it was not a heartattack, I'm very glad to have gone to be safe.
And you have to remember, not everyone experiences heartattack symptoms the same.
I'm not saying that is what it is, but there is SOMETHING going on and it's best to have it checked out. I pray that it is nothing serious. Keep us posted!
Blessings, Mickey

it could be a lot of things, Chris. I had what I was thinking was pain in my heart, I had someone drive me to the ER and since I had chest pains I was admitted to the exam room ASAP. Since in the exam room they didn't find evidence of a heart attack they were puzzled, so I was admitted to the chest pain ward (for 4 days as it turned out). They tried finding something wrong with my heart and couldn't during those 4 days.

But they did find that my postate had shut off the flow of urine out of my bladder and when they put a catheter in and drained my bladder the pain in my chest subsided. I guess it was "referred pain" to my chest.

Chris, my point is, don't mess around. Get it checked out!

It could very well be diabetes related as People with diabetes (PWDs) have heart problems relating to diabetes. And it could strike you at any age.

Who knows what those symptoms mean. You could be catching something at the early stages and perhaps it would be not as serious getting on top of it earlier rather than later.

I will often have arrhythmia (irregular heart beating) when I go too low or high fast. Sometimes I get them when I exercise. I also have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis so arrhythmia is sometimes a result of that too
