The Holidays are upon us and unfortunately for many folks that means STRESS!

Here's something from my inbox last night from DiabeticLifestyle newsletter which may be helpful, entitled "Reduce Stress to Help Your Diabetes" authored by Bonnie Sanders Polin, PhD.

Actually it is not just for the holidays but for everyday as well.

Helpful article. Talks about a number of ways to help manage stress through relaxation techniques. Nice to have it posted somewhere we can refer to it, because I've written about some of those techniques with several people over the last few days.

Holiday seasons can bring back memories of painful and traumatic events because many of those events occured in family settings over our childhood, adolescent, and early adult years. This makes holidays which are a time of joy for some of us, a time of severe and painful stress for others.

This is a good piece of reference material. Thanks, James, for sharing it.
