I come here!! After running around work all day, I usually watch a little tv and relax a little, then I come here and it relaxes me even more! Is there something wrong with me?! LOL
I like to read also, it just depends on what mood I am in!

I like to exercise, cause after the burst of energy, later you just feel so relaxed, or at least I do. then i rest a while I might listen to music, at night, I like to get online and chat with friends a few times a week, read before bed, soak in the garden tub, bubble bath, some lavendar, etc…nothing out of the ordinary.

Relax…Starts with the Warm~~shower cascading over me
while I lather with handmade, gentle coconut oil, goats milk, & aloe soap.
Its creamy and practically foams up while rubbing moisture into my skin. I use a soft sea sponge that compliments the soapy lather…ahhhhh!
A sisal back strap to wash and lightly exfoliate my back all at once.
All natural home made herbal shampoo made with natural oils lightly tingles my scalp with a hint of pepper mint.
My hair is silky

I use Trader Joe's Tea Tree oil tingle conditioner…also as it name says tingles my scalp. After toweling off I use body butter all over. I sand and look my feet over and again reapply the body butter…unfortunately I am that dry, I need to do it twice.

On comes the pajamas or sweats. I'm warm. I feel good, smell good, and with big socks and my fleece lined shoes…Ah…I am comfy. A cup of hot tea, warm soup, a magazine gets opened, News watched or Diabetic Connect Site gets read. Stretch…yawn…Ahhhh…Honey! I'm Home!

If you're not an author you should be. The pictures that you create with words is mesmerizing.

I walk while watching a movie on the computer, also do leather crafts, billfolds, clutch purses and checkbook covers, I mostly give them away. It is relaxing.

I use a treadmill, but then again, did have it go off once and run into the front of it. It automatically goes off when it hits 100 minutes

I downloaded the Kindle app to my PC. I get free books and read them. I listen to music, make jewelry and play games in Pogo.com. I have lavender room spray and I spritz my bedroom. Lavender is so relaxing.

Listen to music, shoot pool on my table, play with Ru and Blu, draw, read, wash dishes by hand (hot, sudsy, lemon-scented water is Zen for me), or a foot rub from my man.

I knew I wasn't the only person in the world that didn't mind washing dishes. Most people I know avoid it like the plague, until it piles up on them.

Oh gosh I love it! I have a dishwasher but it is barely used and I would sell it if not for the big hole it would leave! lol It sooooo relaxes me to wash dishes—truly my daily Zen moment!

You two need to come to my house then! I hate dishes! Sorry girls!! :)
I had a dishwasher, but it went on strike, my teenager!!! She hates them too! I make her take out the garbage, I hate that worse!! LOL

I do use paper plates! Now if they could figure out a way to do that with pots and pans, I would be golden!!

I like to watch TV too. I usually go for something funny. Love anything that can make me laugh out loud. I also like to play dice or cards with my hubby. I was getting on a winning streak with our rounds of 10 thousand, so we switched to black jack to even up the score. For some reason the cards like to fall in his favor, whether I am dealing or not.

pc I love old movies, especially the black and white ones. I have collected some of them. However, my tv watching is mainly the judge shows, home improvement and I like police and legal dramas. I also prefer music from WWII. I was born to late I think.

Joyce, I like the oldies too. And tis the season for some of the best ones. I had to give the court shows a rest though. I found myself yelling at the TV too often than not. I refuse to be driven crazy by someone else's stupidity. Especially seeing that I am already crazy enough for ten people.

Mine is simple…I get into my gown and fuzzy robe and turn on some Kenny G and I journal. That relaxes me the most. It gets the problems of the day or the greats of the day right out in front of me. I can open my journal to any palce and read about that day and am usually thankful for the day I just had. Those early days were rough, with diabetes I mean. I stayed sick. But that's another story. It relaxes me to take my pills and go to sleep. Did you know about 50%
diabetics have sleep problems. I'm one of the 50%. It takes a lot to relax me, but I found my way of doing it.

I get myself a glass of ice water,my cross stitching, wander out to the front porch if it's not too cool and sit in my fav chair and cross stitch whle listening to my MP3. If it's rainy or too cool I get my glass of ice water , seek my favotite rocker by the window and turn the Christmas tree on,cross stitch and listen to the music on my stereo. Cross stitching or hand embroidery is one way I can relax.

Nana I use to do counted cross stitch, needlepoint, plaster crafts and hooked rugs. I lost interest. I am currently into jewelry making.

My sister and I took two classes and have been selling our work for the past 6 years. I am teaching myself wire wrapping. She taught herself peyote stitching for making necklaces and bracelets. My mom did embroidery and taught us when we were kids. I have seen beautiful cross stitching. Glad you enjoy it.

I take a good book and read for about an hour or two. It seems to make me wind down from a hectic day.

Hi re1ndeer, I am reading the final book from the Steig Larrson triolgy, "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest". I had to stop reading because I must read my Christmas romance books. My current interest are the Amish Romance Novels. They have gotten very popular as I have to wait list them at the library.

They sound very interesting, I might have to go to the library and pick up a few books.

I was at my doctors office and was in the exam room reading something when he told me about Steig Larrson. Every week he would call me and we would discuss those books. You have to read them in order. They are slow going at first then turn into an edge of your seat page turner. The first one "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is now a movie. Read the book before you see the movie. The movie was good but those of us who read the book first think the movie doesn't connect the story lines. They have now made an American version of the movie…can't wait to see it.

It is…delightful and calming both.

My other option is sitting outside on our lanai, watching the moon glint off of the lake, while listening to the frogs, night heron, and other night critters making their calls.

I go for calming in whatever form it comes in.

Carol, I love being on or near the water. If I could I would live on a cruise ship. When I go on a cruise, I opt for a cabin with a balcony. I sit out at night and read or just watch the moonlight glinting off the ocean and the sound of the wake from the ship. I sleep with the balcony door open and fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Very calming.

You must live in a warm climate, I would love to sit outside and listen to the critters. I live in a cold climate so I have to bundle up and sit by a warm fireplace, and read a book.
