Dear Saber: Those meters are sent to you as you've been told because your on their mailing list. If you choose to keep one call the company and they'll send you all the strips and lacets and just everything you may need and bill it to your insurance. Be it known, you will recieve
phine calls from them to try and tell you why theirs is the best. I have recieved 5 all toll and chose the last one where you can take blood from any place on your body. I like the fact I can use my legs or stomach or my arm if I choose. My fingers won't be as sore all the time. I test 4 times a day. That makes for sore pinkies. LOL Hugs to you…Valentine Lady

No I do not. Make sure they are not charging your credit card in any way!
Is there any place to donate these to for someone who may need these?

You can give them to your local red cross, or health dept. I'm very sure they will be happy to take them. I know for a fact the Red Cross will, they used to help my mom with supplies when she needed it.

Have you ever thought of trying to seek out a (lack of better terminology) a non profit group to see if they have any diabetic patients that need meters? I did that w/ all of my brand new needles and they were more than happy to take them. Because there are a lot of people who have either no med ins or are just too poor to be able to afford all these "diabetic must-haves". If you google something to the fact"diabetes awareness (or something 2 that effect, and let them know about your meters. I don't know what's out there, but I'm sure that you'll find something.

Howdy Matthew
I don't have that problem. I guess I am not on enough mailing lists as some one who has diabetes.

If you didn't request the meter you are under no obligation to return it.

Perhaps, though you may wish to determine which list you are on and let them know you don't want to receive more meters. It is simply a effort to get you to purchase the stips for that meter from them, usually at inflated prices.

Your next meter will be depending on who gets your mailing address as a "mark" (potential customer) next.

Blessings to you!

James

i agree with jayabee52. you didn't request it and you don't have to pay for it. it's like the return address labels you get in the mail, the companies are hoping you'll like their meters and will start buying their products. ignore them.

I already priced the strips and it $75 dollars to get the strips for that meter I am goiing to give it to a friend he is also a diabetic and he was telling me his meter is not working good any more he gets his strips free through his docter for the meter il just give him the one of my free meters i have brand new still in the box never touch just opened the outer box

I was gonna say WOW $75! (for how many stips?) but with some of the other more popular meters someone can pay over $100 for 50 readings, so I can't say WOW!

The meter I use now costs $50 for 100 strips.
