What you describe is classic symptoms of high blood sugar. It's actually quite common for dentists to "diagnose" diabetes in their patients because often it attacks the teeth and gums early on. What sort of numbers do you see when testing your blood sugar? Is your A1c high? A good first step is to try and get blood sugar as low and with as small spikes as you can without going too low. The dentist is not really the person to be talking to since they can't really do anything for the underlying cause other than tell you to keep things as clean as possible.

Hate to say this: but why not get them all pulled and get dentures? Maybe not what you want but if its not going to get better in the long term you may want to find out more about this option. I know I had to do it over five years ago. But I can eat better now than before. Hugs

James: Some gum disease is related to vitamin B deficiency, makes the gums sore and bleeding. If I recall correctly its B1; yes, it is, because that is one of the symptoms of Beri-beri. How about the B1 preparation we were talking about last week, James. Could you find the Benfo info?

Yeah my dentist told me to try sensodine so that's what I'm using now and he prescribed me some special mouthwash for my gums but my teeth just don't seem to respond but thank you for writing me:)

I thought that would be the case. I am plum out of ideas. I will be going to bed soon and will likely be back on tomorrow and so I will think on it and perhaps do some googling. Maybe something will turn up.

Howdy Misris!
Just off the top of my head there are toothpastes made for sensitive teeth. Have you tried one or more of those?
