Just Joyce is right, tell us a little about yourself, we want to know you. Like, what type of D do you have, how long since your diagnosis, what are your numbers like, on any meds, how have you been coping?

There isn't any rush to answer our questions, so tell us more about yourself at your own pace. We will be here when you feel ready to share. Be blessed.

You are so right about this sight as an addiction - sometimes when I get too busy I know that it's time to check out what my friends are up to. Also just to learn and find out strategies to fight for what's right in my body. Holidays are here and the first for me as a D - so wil have to stay close to a computer so that I can be strong in my choices. Will have to substitute with some SF desserts without overdoing it. GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

But such a nice and positive addiction. This is one you may need to manage, but don't need to break!

That's how I feel about it! For once I'm addicted to something that won't rot my lungs or make me sick somehow! This place just keeps getting better and better!!

Hi Lori, I am relatively new here also. I just jumped right in with both feet. I have met some wonderful people and have made friends. The one thing we all have in common is diabetes. Tell us something about yourself so we all can get to know you.

WELCOME Lori! Glad to have you, sorry it's under these circumstances! But we are all in this together! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask any of us. If you want to ask a specific someone a question, just click on their name, and it will take you to that persons page, where you can post the ? and or friend request.
It's all pretty easy, you will be fine!
Blessings, Mickey

Howdy Lori WELCOME to DiabeticConnect!

I remember my first time on DC and I was unsure what to do and when to say what I had on my mind. That was a little over 3 years ago.

I believe you'll find a lot of good and loving people here, I know that I did. It took some getting used to navigating this site and most here are willing to help you get around in it.

You took the first step by posting a discussion. Hurray for you!

My attitude is, I believe, shared by many here, the ONLY stupid question is a HONEST question which is NOT ASKED!

Look around in the discussions and the other areas of this site and get the feel of the place. Then ask anything which may occur to you.

Praying I will see you posting new discussions and in discussions which have been already established.

Blessings to you and yours

Hello Lori Jo and welcome to the site. I too am a new member here but have already learned a lot. The people I have met here are some of the most kind, thoughtful, caring and wise that you will ever meet. I hope you find all that you want and need from the community, to help you with your fight against diabetes. A word of caution though, this place can be infectious and addictive, in the best way you could imagine. Hope you come to see everyone here as part of a big family because that is what we try to be. Be blessed.
