Congratulations on your positive results!! I just had a bought with double vision for several weeks following a year of non-compliance. Sure got my attention in a hurry. I got back on meds, took a month off work and changed my diet (which was a disaster). Thankfully, my vision has corrected and a comprehensive exam shows no other damage or concerns with my eyes. The complications from "D" are no joke and frequently preventable. I commend you for keeping up with your yearly eye exams. How are you doing with your medical monitoring of your diabetes (physician appointments, etc.)? I would love to hear about your journey. Best regards, Sherrie

when iwas told in 2009 iwas diabetic i started out of ac1 8.2 in april by sept 2009 my ac1 was 5.6 .iwas put on 1 tablet metforin then another tablet of itcouple months later.then by june 2010 i was taken of of 1 of then metforin. its now been 1yr 1/2 sense i been off of 1 tablet of metforin and my ac1 ever sense sept 2009 has been stedly at 5.6. never been on insulin or any other pills for diabetes at all.in the begining i needed to check blood sugars 4 times a day by sept 2009 i was told i only to make sure i check my blood sugar at least 2 times a which before i breakfast and after supper 2hrs after.l follow my low carb and calorie diet like by nutrionsist and exersise plan.gotta say it pays off to do what i'm told to do.staying in control of my diabetes means not only no damage to my eyes and no damage to my body but don't need to go back to the doctor or nutrionist alot.i don't seem to have any problems with blood sugar spikes which is nice unless i'm sick which is normal.
