I'm not even sure I should be on here but my problem mostly is low blood sugar, I hardly eat so I know that's why, but if i eat too many carbs or too much sugar at 1 time and my glucose get's to above 140 that's when the headaches and migraines start. I've had migraines and headaches since I was 13 and only found out 2 years ago it was caused by my glucose being too high or too low. Most everyone in my family has Hyperglycemia so it's a bit weird for me. So my question I guess is … Does anyone else get headaches or migraines when their glucose is too high or low?… I ask because I have not even discussed this with my Dr. because I've never heard anyone with these symptoms. And any other tips would be appreciated. Thank you!!!!!

HI…I rarely get headaches, but I always get thirsty and hungry and the only time I will get a headache is if I am in serious trouble, as in when my blood sugar soars to the 600s and 700s, however, it is different for each person. I have to be knocking on death's door before my head screams…I don't know why, but am thankful for that…hope you can figure it all out…sincerely, ANNE

Howdy FireFlies WELCOME to DC!

Yes you are in the right place. Yes out of wack Blood Glucose levels can cause a whole host of other problems. Headaches (Migraines) is only one such problem. When my bride was alive she said that she had hypoglycemia just before her pancreas went off line for her. (I was not around her at that point)

You DO need to discuss this with your Dr. And I suspect there will be several here who have experienced the same problem.

Blessings to you and yours
