Congratulations! I'm sure you will live a very long time. I read an article in the newspaper about a man who had diabetes for 80 years and is 83 and still healthy and well!

Be careful for lows! My a1c is 5.5 and I am usually between 80-100 (I shoot for 85-95).

Best of luck!

Ive never had an A1C that low but once it was 6.1 and my doctor said I must have cheated lol…good for you tho!! Im trying to get mine lower now tho because i am pregnant and my docs want it to be a 6 or lower…your obviously doing something right any pointers??

Youll live longer than 40 lol. thats a good A1C. When I was at a military boarding school I got my A1C down to that number too. But you have to be careful because I got a lot of low blood sugars and thats how my A1C was so good. So keep a close eye on those Blood Glucose levels.

thats good for ac1 . i understand when only using insulin it sometimes harder to control diabetes. keep up the good work and take care.

Congratulations and you give hope to this 62 year old pumper. I just started on my pump in August after 35 years as a Type 1. My last A1c was 6.7 but I'm sure the next one will be lower as my BG averages are now around 130. I'm seeing a new endo on Dec 8 to go to one closer to home (only 30 minutes away vs over an hour). Happy Thanksgiving…live long and prosper!

I'm scheduled to see my endo tomorrow for a pump. I've had type 1 for 33 years (I'm 48). What type of pump are you using?
