Okay so I heard about taking cinnamon on this website tried taking 1000 mcg 3 mornings in a row, and my BGs actually increased. One morning I was at 141 fasting which is high for me. I am usually at 100-110 and had heard here that They can go into less than 100. I didn't change anything else in my diet what do you guys think before I give up on this supplement? I keep reading how it is beneficial to people with diabetes.

Hello Set apart, I will not try cinnamon supplements. I am allergic to cinnamon that is the only reason. I have been researching supplements and nothing that I have read including lab experiments with cinnamon ever caused a raise in blood sugars. As Pixsidust pointed out that cinnamon should have passed through your system before evening. From what I read I believe it might be worth your waiting a week and trying it again. Something else might be affecting your fasting BG.
Even though I am allergic to cinnamon I do allow myself an apple fritter twice a month for breakfast. While this is not a healthy choice it is the only bread that I can eat without it spiking my sugars.
If you aren't keeping a journal it might be a good time to start. Mine really helps me see what is going on with my BG control.

I say give it more time. Examine that you do not consume things that might spike you. I take it 1000 morning and 2000 evening. Anything you take in the morning is out of your system by evening. I am new to trying it too. Interesting though my weight loss is starting to kick up again. I was at a stand still but no longer. Coincidence maybe? Remember everything worth while take time!
