Blood sugar, or what else could this mean?

The week before last, I notice something strange was happening. I can't remember what my blood sugar reading was, but I had mussle weakness, and I had a chest pain. I thought I was going to get Pnumonia, or the flu. But I had my flu shot already, and I was done with Pnumonia after all of these years.

I know I have deep severe joint pain and severe severe inflammation when my blood sugars soar —-I don't get muscle weakness at all, though. I have gotten chest pains with my unstable blood sugars many many many times over the years—-I lost count——one time I was in the emergency room with chest pain and my blood sugar was 330 something at the same time—-heart disease and diabetes go hand in hand…I am only 41, so I have one heck of a strong kickback when I do recover from anything . I get flu symptoms easily with my high blood sugars—as in fever and joint pain—-it can be scary at times, but, once I figured out what was causing those symptoms all my life, I was able to relax more—it's NOT knowing that can be harder in my opinion—-I would talk to your doctor and explain to him or her that you need to know…sincerely, ANNE

Muscle weakness can happen for many reasons usually are not signs of anything severe unless this is happening constantly. As for the chest pains those could be acid reflux which can get serious or even heart related chest pains. I suggest that you talk with your medical professional as soon as possible.

Everyone experiences different side effects with high or low blood sugar, so it could be related, although I've never experienced chest pain when my sugars were off. I often have weak muscles when my BG is low, so I would do as realsis77 says and check your sugars when you experience those symptoms again, and hopefully come up with an answer to your question.
