today in weight lifting i finally got my big plates on the bar for bench press so 3 sets of 15 at 133lbs and then a set of 8 at 144lbs by xmas I'm hoping to need another set of 44 lb plates lil things that get the ego stiked up and the endorphins running :-) time for a people treat i think low carb ice cream wins tonight

Hill Walker, I have never been into weight lifting but it sounds like you are doing well. I have read that we should not reward ourselves with food even low carb. For me I call these sins against my meal plan just because I want to. By doing this I keep a good perspective on why I am eating a forbidden item.

congratulations Charles! I pumped weights for a couple years in college and I did pretty well —- until my arm muscles bulked up and I couldn't fit my button up shirts any more, I was in college and didn't have a lot of money to buy new shirts so I backed off on the weight lifting.

i used to lift when i was younger thus a good stock of weights on hand but being over 40 the build up is a lil slower this time around
