I agree with Tom (oldandgrey) Check with your PCP or nutritionist before you start any suppliment regimen.

One of the things mentioned in the article is ketoacidosis. People with diabetes should avoid Ketoacidosis. Another possible problem is it may weaken or harm your kidneys.
Please do not start a program of supplimentation without your Dr and/or nutritionist's approval.

You should check with you Doctor before taking any over the counter supplements, this includes herbs as many can interfere or change the way your meds work.
