Why is it that when I log in, the first page is the "Diabetic recipes" advertising page. I have to go back in and click on again just to get to the discussions. (this page)…and why is there no chat room? Does Diabetic Connect think that a chat room will be abused?
I'm sorry to be a Nattering Nay-Bob of Negativity; but really…

I use Windows7. I added the discussion page to the favorites bar. While on this page I opened the favorites menu and added it. Now I just clip on the icon and I am here. You can also add this page to your favorites list then when ever you want to come here open the favorites menu and click on Diabetic Connect and you are here. Avoids a lot of "stuff".

when you log into the community it should be taking you to the home page, not the recipe section. You may be logging in via the wrong address. try logging in directly from www.diabeticconnect.com . They you should be able to easily navigate to the discussions. As far as chat goes. Gabby is right that we do not have the means to monitor a chat feature. We have many other great forms of communication here within the site even if they aren't instant. I do hope this helps answer your questions. any one is welcome to send new ideas or concerns about the community via inbox messages to me or our other advocates.

I know we are going to be having some updates and sometimes that can jump start our log ins. Once you get in and reset up, it should be fine.

I don't know that we don't want chat rooms, but may not have the means to monitor them. I really don't know. If you get into a discussion at the right moment, it can turn into a chat...those are wild!

Sidehack: Interesting. I set my page up on my google bookmarks and it comes right here. I totally missed the recipe section for a while, just stumbled onto it last week. Good luck. Carol
