Hi Everyone,

Ever wonder why diabetes doesn’t diabetes have a single, recognizable symbol like the ubiquitous pink ribbon for breast cancer?

The answer is, it could and should, if we patients make it happen!

Please take a moment to look at our petition for National Diabetes Awareness Month, and show your support here:

I also believe that gray ribbon is all ours! I signed up though!
If the gray ribbon isn't our symbol then why do I see it on conjunction with Diabetes?

Here is the URL for the awareness ribbons and their meanings. I hope this helps, personally love grey!

gray is for more than Diabetes we need one color or symbol just for us

There aren't enough colors for Diabetes to have it's own unfortunately. For example, the blue ribbon represents at least 17 different causes. Light purple represents cancer in general.

I don't know if it will do any good, but I have signed it.

There has to be MORE AGREEMENT among the organizations who are researching and advocating in the area of diabetes. I see the necessary agreement sorely lacking JMHO.
