My bg this morning is 110, it has never been above 98 when testing everyday at this time. I am not sure what to think, because I have the shakes, feel a little out of sorts & have a slight headache. Any suggestions before I start getting nervous over this?

Thanks

110 is a wonderful number, however, if you have come up 12 points, to me it means you might spike up even higher as time goes on. It's good that you keep a good record of your readings. ANNE

these replies have been helpful for me, as the last couple of days I had some GI problems, gas, pain and a bit of a fever. My BG went up to 138 for awhile for no apparent reason and stayed there for quite awhile then a couple of hours after eating it suddenly was at 76! I am buying the when you don't feel well it might be the cause, rather than the result of you higher readings, theory. Here a day later, I am having more normal responses to my regular meals (which I don't vary much day to day). On occasions I go out to eat and that's when I indulge a bit, but on a day to day basis I keep it pretty much the same. Saves a lot of time.

I think your "getting nervous" remark was what struck me the most. Yes, it's really easy to do as well as becoming a bit obsessive over all this. It's only natural but I can see why it wears people down.

THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU MAY HAVE EATING THAT COULD HAVE CAUSED YOUR SMALL SPIKE. ALSO I FEEL YOUR ANXIETY MAKE BE YOUR ROOT CAUSE OF THE HEADACHES, JUST CALM DOWN AND RELAX AND YOU SHOULD LEVEL OUT TO YOUR NORMAL SELF.

Nothing different eating wise, headache I found is due to sinuses.

Good, it is great to find out what causes changes in your testing and the way you feel so you are able to pin-point problems that arise. Now you are able to deal with symtoms in a way that will help you in the right direction to resolve the problem.

I would not worry too much about it unless you spike 50/60 points higher than norm, maybe something a little different yesterday that you can't account for or a little more pain/stress than usual, just relax and take care

Do you know if a headache can raise your bg, you mentioned pain or stress?

Our BG levels are constantly fluxuating, depending on what is happening in and or to our bodies. 110 is just fine, Well within the "normal" range.

It could be from getting a cold or the beginning of the flu or any one of a dozen other possiblities. My encouragement to you is relax! Whatever will happen will happen whether or not you worry aoout what it might be.
