Does anyone know what KIND of test they would do to determine if you have bladder cancer?? And does it run in families? Thanks, Ellen

My dad has bladder cancer. It was found through a routine urine test. They found small traces of blood in his urine. They did a scope test and found he had tiny tumors on his bladder. He has them removed from time to time, then goes through a series of bladder flushes (similar to chemo-therapy). He does this every 3 to 6 months. They think his bladder cancer came from being exposed to Agent Orange in Vietnam and Thailand/Cambodia. He had no other signs or symptoms.

My Dad has bladder cancer too. They did some "treatments" but stopped cause he didn't tolerate them very well. He's doing o.k. just was wondering if that's gonna be next on MY list! Thanks again, Ellen :)

I found this on the Internet from the Mayo Clinic. Cancer can run in families. I sure hope this is not a worry for you! Hugs!
