My mom said I should lose weight, my grandmother says I'm 'tubby' she even once said 'u dont need that it'll make u fat..' and under her breath said 'well even more so than u r' hoe can I lose more weight? I eat right I exercise an 1 and a 1/2 how do I lose weight without fasting? Which makes my blood sugar unpredictable, cus I've tried it.

Check around for diabetes support groups and surround yourself with people who "get it." When your relatives get nasty, walk away and find something else to do. They may not stop but at least you won't be listening. You sound like a sound, committed young lady. I am cheering for you.

Grandma sounds like a piece of work. How lovely! Don't be around anyone who disrespects you like that. To lose weight cut the Carbs. Its hard to do but that is your answer! Try the Atkins diet. Keep quiet about your efforts. You do not need their approval because I do not think thats available so do not set yourself up for "hurt". Quiet, now…you can do it.

Im sorry you have family that is being unsupportive. When i was young my mom would tell me i was fat as a barn and other mean things. I have had a weight problem my whole life. It hurts, i know. But one important thing i've learned is that if you are going to get healthy and be healthy, you have to do it for yourself. If you are serious then nothing can stop you. As far as not losing the weight, have you really cut out the things that are bad for you like pop and processed snacks like cakes and candy? My big thing was like chips and dip or doritios and chesse. Had to let them go! You also have to really watch your carbs. You want good carbs. And protien is a biggie. Good for you and helps you feel full longer. Is the foods your mom is preparing, are they diet friendly? If it's full of starches and pasta and things, thats not good for you. You have to have a total lifestyle change. Browse this site and you will find great advice from a lot of people. Knowledge is key and the more you learn, the greater off you will be.
