Hello, I am in search to help my brother. He is a type I insulin dependent diabetic. He started using the insulin pump about 1-2 years ago. It was the BEST thing to happen to him. He is and has always been a very brittle diabetic and the pump has been the best to help keep him stable. He lost his medical insurence a few months back and is running low on his supplies for his pump. I have called the American Diabeties Association, Metronic, Liberty Medical Supplies, and Animas. The best price I could get is $131.00 a month for tubing and reservoirs, which is still costly to one with no insurence and a low paying part-time job. I am looking for any help and/or suggetions. Thank you so much!

Try the actual sales rep or clinical rep for the pump manufacturer. Easiest way is to request info via the pump website, the rep will contact you that way.

Thanks, I did speak to the manufacture and they couldn't help.

I'm talking about the local sales rep and clinical nurse, not the customer service. They have stacks of supplies for demos, trials and the like and they are usually much more sympathetic to the actual end users needs. Also, since they work with pretty much all the doctors and health systems in your local area they may be able to recommend some additional help. Maybe there is another way but when I have requested information via the form on each pumps website a local sales rep has sent me an email with their direct contact details.
