Well I go see the doctor tomorrow for blood work—A1C & dilantin levels, oh yay. My feet & legs look like elephant limbs, & can barely walk. This is going to irk me big time if he tries to play games again,,,Any suggestions?

Thank you

i know how you feel believe me i am on waterpills and blood pressure meds because of my kidneys, swollen feet and legs are indications of either kidney or heart issues and i am not trying to scare you but you need to tell that docor to let you see a heart and a kidney specialist ASAP, mine didnt want to listen for 2 years and now my kidneys are at 46 % function..also my fault for not taking my meds..but if he had listened 2 years ago it may not had gotten that bad. best of luck to you and putting your legs up ( elevating them ) helps alot and if you think it is your kidneys take it easy on the salt and protein …

My goodness! How uncomfortable! Are your kidneys working ok? Has he checked you creatin and bun? If not i would demand to have that done! Diabeties and high blood pressure are the 2 leading causes of renal failure! If your kidneys are good what about taking a lasiks? I guess i'm just concerned about your legs and feet being so swollen. As for him jerking you around, you can demand action and answers. You have something called patient rights and i thinki alot of these docs and healthcare workers need to remember that! If your doc is a weenie can you go somewhere else? If not maybe throw the Hypocratic Oath in his face and remind him what his job is! Good luck tommorow! I will be looking for your reply on how it went! Blessings and God speed, Mickey

It is very uncomfortable, this has been going on for about the last week or so. I called this morning & he said "As long as they don't stay swollen you have nothing to worry about". I am limited on the Gp's around here too, so I am not sure what I can do & get away with. I already told him that this is my body & life that you have in your hands, & I know my body better than you…needless to say he was not happy with my statement. But thanks I will update when I get back home from there. Hugs

I'm with tabby, that doc sounds more like a quack! That is terrible that they are not very concerned about their patients! They will take ur money fast enough though! He needs to be reminded about the Hipocratic Oath he took and the fact that patients have rights! Shame on him! I will pray for you on this issue and hopefully God can point you in a better direction. Stay strong! Blessings to you.

Is your town on the map? Just give them your doctor's name from back west and have yourself be a new patient. If you aren't insured, make up your name, SS #, and you can be whatever age you describe. Don't tell them about all your issues, just the ones that need to be addressed. Now I know, what happens if you get insurance? You then tell them you just got married and changed your last name or that you decided to go back to your maiden name. If that doesn't work get a S&W 40 caliper and demand to be seen. You will then get free health care provided by the State, plus 3 meals a day. See there is a way around it all. Oh, make sure you give the Police the same personal info as the doctor, because you don't want a criminal record when you get out in 10 or 15 years. See, aren't I a lot of help? Love you, jim :)

My candle making help me through one of my college years! I hope it all goes well and that nobody just buys one thing because they think they have to. I hope they buy at least 2 things! Best to you. You don't need to put smiles. that is what I see when I look at you, so be at ease and do well. Jim

We are with you, but that does not mean you are sane, but that is okay. Your doctors seem to be reluctant to care for you. For that I am greatly saddened. My doctor run a pretty full blood workup every 3 months. Besides my A1C, he is checking my liver functions, cholesterol, and other stuff. i presumed that was stranded practice for diabetics. Oh wait, that is right you are pre-diabetic. Have you started on that milk shake diet yet? Best to you always, Jim

I thought I sent that to you. You drink at least 1 milkshake a day for 3 months. That should get you out of the pre-diabetic range into full blown diabetes! Ummmm…Taste that creamy chocolate, that whipped cream, that cherry on top. Might as well top it all with chocolate syrup!

Back when I did drink these, before the egg scare, I would use 2 raw eggs, milk, into blender, Ice cream, and vanilla. I make my own vanilla, it takes 6 months!

sorry you are going through this. I am just now reading about it. Iam very concerned about all the swelling too. I don't like the sound of that doctor.

I have been trying to switch doc's but I found out around here the docs won't take a patient that has been seen by another before. I even called the big shot & complained to no avail.

sometimes I thnk maybe I need to get a second opinion. I am too scared to go back to the old ways of eating just for a day or two and see what my numbers are, I'd rather just go to a diabetes doctor, not a general physician, like I did nearly 3 years ago when I was diagnosed. That is weird, that they won't take you because yu have been seen by another? our insurance stinks, for the coming year, the deductible is even higher (I wish it was $350 or even $500 now) so I won't be able to just go and do this most likely. I have other appts. I need t make.
