Because you were not feeling well, could you have been eating less? This might account for some of your numbers. Personally, I find when I'm ill, I need to take more insulin, even if I'm eating the same food or less food to keep the BG numbers in a reasonable range. One of the more frustrating aspects of this disease is the lack of consistency. I eat the same breakfast every morning. If I start out with the same BG, eat the same breakfast and take the same amount of insulin, you'd expect my BG results to be the same…but, they frequently aren't. Stress can be a factor in elevating your blood sugars too. It's tough to keep it all in balance but not impossible.

Howdy Michael
I would have no explanation for it myself. But as has been said repeatedly each of our metabolisms as a Person with Diabetes differ wiith the same stimulus. That applies to food & drink, to medications, and stresses, of which sickness is one.

I don't wish sickness on you, of course, but I pray that you find more normalcy in your BG levels.
