Why should we settle for one day when other diseases get whole months. I say we make the month of november our month the whole month not just one day

almost 3 years and i am just now finding out we have our own month. maybe we can raise awarness so people will get checked i have a cousin who knows he has all the classic signs od diabetes but he refuses to be checked.you never here about diabetes on tv hardly all the commercial spots are given to breast cancer awarness although diabetes kills more people than breast cancer and Aids combined. every hour 25 people die from diabetes or complications form it. And i have the double whammy because my mother finally told me she may have breast cancer she finds out tuesday of this week. plus my ex-wife is trying to take my daughter out of my life because i cannot find a job

As said, November is Diabetes Awareness month in the US, which is pretty much the only place in the world that really has "X weeks." World Diabetes Day is supposed to be a big highlight of diabetes all over the world.

like this… guess I will have to go buy more blue shirts. It is a good idea. I have senced that diabetes is not as fought after as other illnesses. And a couple of times people have made it seem like it is my fault or what I eat. :( So I agree November is our month :)
