I have lived in Florida for 31yrs. And they have stores stocked with pleanty of different kinds of SF foods and drinks. Then I came to Houston,Tx 2 months ago and the stores here seem like they have a very limited supply or limited stock of diabetic foods and SF things to eat. Why is that? It could be a geographical area thing, where the diabetic rate is lower than other areas, I dont know. When I go to H.E.B. or Walmart or Kroger or any other, their supply of SF stuff is very low. Seems like the store managers would have more concern for other people's interest in foods. I love SF pudding, jello, candies, pies,oh and ice cream I love it. But they dont have SF or No Sugar Added stuff here, why. Publix in Florida used to have their brand Neopolitan ice cream but stopped making it. It was the best anywhere. But they stopped manufacturing it. Why. Why would a big hit like that be stopped. I dont know. Nuff said.

Ah it is a pain in the arse!! but after a whille you get used to the idea, "we are just diabetics, living in a world of functional pancreases"!!!

Try being a diabetic and a celiac !!! oh the fun going shopping!! spending your time avoiding the bread, pasta, cereal buscuits and cake isle!!! You get used to it and the frustration goes away!! give it some time

Just on a small note on the sugar food available, the majority of them come with a warning that "over comsumption may cause a laxitive effect" Trust me pal, if you eat to much of it you will pay the price!!! everything in moderation!

Darrell … I think it's important to share your thoughts with the store managers and owners. I would also like to see more restaurants offering a diabetic-friendly code to point out lower carb and "healthier" options. When these companies figure out what kind of market share they'd have for gastric patients, diabetics, Atkins clients, and such. Perhaps they would be able to see the dollar signs???

That's unusual for WalMart or Kroger not to carry Sugar Free. I'm in MS and my local super WalMart & Kroger have tons of it. Have you tried talking to the store managers, sometimes they check their stock for you or special order.
