I had a real scare a few weeks ago but number was 376 it scared me enough to get serious. I didn't feel bad at all, some times I get a headache when I get high but not this time. I also know how I feel when I get low, vey shakey and I get sweaty and heart starts beating hard. But don't know how I should feel or the signs a bad situation coming on a diabetic coma. I hate to bring everyone down with such a serious subject but I really have to know so I can be prepared if this happens again. I feel silly asking I should know this stuff but I don't. I need information and help. Thank you in advance.

Howdy Monica!
I don't want to seem flippant with this answer, but the signs of a diabetic coma is unconsiousness. Signs that you are dangerously high can vary from person to person, so I cannot answer the question with the clarity I'd like.

I have heard of people who are mean and grouchy, others have siezures. Other people have reported feeling stupid (sometimes I feel "dumber than a box of rocks" when I am high or when I am low)

Sometimes the personal symptoms of a high or a low may be the same. Other times they may be two different sets of personal signs.

My recommendation is NOT to experement with highs or lows. As Harlen suggests the best thing to do is keep your BG levels under good control.

Blessings to you and yours Monica

That is a hard Q
If I have ben keeping my #s good at 165 I start to feel on edge like stressed or I can get meen.
When first DX my BS was greater then 1200 and I was feeling low at 300
shakes and all
The best thing we can do is to keep testting and you will not go so low or so high .
I hope this helps
Best wishes
Harlen
