Have done with family I just eat one meat and do allot of vet, I also choose a starch or a treat. I can't get away with nothing though. Am new also T2 family watch's close and help's me make good choices and they do not tempt me. so if you can do what is best for your body while there I would enjoy. They say to let your self have a treat once in a while just not to go overboard.

It's all you can eat NOT you can eat it all. :) … When facing the temptation of a buffet you are going to have an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other. You know what you should and shouldn't eat but common sense is not always common. Don't worry so much about getting your money's worth from the cost… think about eating to live and not living to eat and you'll be fine. Drink water to fill up and eat slowly. Enjoy the companionship of family, which is the reason for the get-together. Every buffet has better and worse (not good and great) options for dining. Live a little - just not too much!

hit the salad bar watch for carb items like salads with noodles rice or carb veggies make a salad without any carbs choices make your tummy little full but that way your not going to screw up and eat to much bad stuff this works for me vey well same room for a little sugar free treat like a cookie or 2.

Remember the breading on chicken or fish is high in carbs. Balsamic vinegar is also high in sugar. If you can get things without being batter dipped, avoid the mac and cheese/potatoes & dessert, you will be fine.
If you think you will be tempted bring a chocolate sugar free pudding with you. Have fun!
