Iam 51 with type 2. My girl friend is an RN and she trying to help me get my sugar better controlled. She has been using Truvia for a while, she says its just about the best out there. And she bought me some liquid sweetner Blue Agave, there is light and dark, one for baking and one just for normal uses. My sugar has been around 45 points and lower since she has been helping me.
I hope this can help u also.

You know folks that Stevia (aka Truvia) is a herb. The herb can be purchased at many garden shops. Not that you'd necessarily want to. Native Indians in South America have been using Stevia for 400 years. The Japanese have been using it for 30 years. To me, the clincher is that there is no such herb as Splenda nor Equal nor Asparatame. Those sweeteners are man-made artificial chemicals that happen to taste sweet. Yes, stevia has to be processed to make it usable for us. But if you think about it, sugar has to be processed as well to make it usable. No one cuts off a chunk of sugar cane and dumps it in their tea.
I will say it again South American indians have used stevia for 400 years and that is a great recommendation for me. The only caveat is to use it judiciously because if one uses too much, it can taste bitter. I buy the packets, and just recently bought Stevia in the Raw. I have not tried it, but when I get time…

Darrell Hi, I have been diabetic 7 years now and fake sugar is a big ? I too use Turvia and like it, I have tried Spenda also tastes good, Nutrasweet also good, Equal is o.k but costs too much. The sugar question is a good one. Does anyone have
any clues. I haven't tried to figure out which one is better for me. Maybe some day.

Yep. It works. I use Super Stevia.
There are lots of different brands that I like to varying degrees.
There is also Zevia soda (with stevia) when you want a soft drink.
We've all read about "artificial" sweeteners on this site.

Glad to hear it's working.
