Well today is a mile stone for me. It marks my 25th birthday and I'm not out at a party. I'm one of the good people. I'm at school from 4 to 10pm tonight. So I thought of doing something this weekend; like a games party or a group dinner. What do you my extended family think? Do you have any suggestions or comments?

Thank you all for the warm wishes on my birthday. I'm now thinking about having a game night/potluck get together thing with all my friends near my house. I don't want anyone to have to drive out of their way to come and then have something happen when they leave to house. I'm looking forward to a great night of laughs.

Happy Birthday indeed! Wow!25 Cool! How about a potluck (a group dinner party?) Just be sure that you supply something you can eat. Many people are clueless about diabetes and what kind of foods you can and cannot eat. Good suggestions are raw vegetables and a diabetes friendly dip. Crackers and Cheese. How about a meatloaf and baked potatoes with fat free sour cream. A huge tossed salad with choices of salad dressings. Maybe some roasted vegetables. Desserts of fresh fruit, chocolate dipped strawberries. Diet Sodas, and coffee or tea or Iced tea. Designate someone to bring plasticware and paper plates, napkins, cups etc. Have plenty of ice on hand. Remember it is not really about the food, it is a celebration at which you happen to be serving food.
Many More Birthdays, and keep on keepin' on. Gracie
