People with diabetes are at higher risk of a foot or leg amputation than other people. Foot ulcers that are not treated may quickly lead to amputation. Most amputation are prevntable with regular care. Tips for "Good" Foot Care: Examine feet daily Wash and dry feet thoroughly, especially between the toes Wear fresh socks daily, such as those made of softy cotton, synthetic blends, or wool. Inspect shoes daily Never go barefoot
