I have now joined the ranks of diabetics without insurance. If you are also one of us, I have a great tip! Wal-Mart now has a type of insulin called ReliOn. It is the same as other brands, except for one important thing- the cost. A regular bottle of 100 units will cost the average person without insurance, about $125. That's right, one bottle. I found out about ReliOn and had my dr check it out. I was able to purchase 5 bottles of Relion for $125. They have the fast-acting-R- and the slow acting-N. It is even made by Lilly. I have been on it for 2 weeks and no problems. It sure beats going into a diabetic coma. I hope this tip can help someone else!
