I am watching "The Doctors" right now and Jillian Michaels is screaming at people to change…does anyone else find this to be an ineffective method of encouragement?
I stopped watching "Biggest Loser" a long time ago because of her and I'm disappointed she popped up on the Doctors.
If screaming worked to cure people's addictions, I'm sure we all would've been cured years ago!

I'm annoyed by ALL those people who are so called weight loss "experts". Most of them have never had much of a weight problem if any at all. I can relate to Richard Simmons because he used to be a fat man. That Jillian character is one of the MOST annoying people on earth! I think the first time she screamed at me I'd just laugh at her and walk away. Maybe I'd smack her first…lol

Right? I stopped watching when I found out how dangerous that rapid weight lose is. To say nothing of the damage to the body if you work out for 6-8 hrs a day.
Slow and steady is my docs advice.

OH it works for some people. If it weren't effective to a certain degree the military would have stopped it long ago in basic training. All 3 of my sons have been through Basic and they reported being screamed at. But that is in a controlled situation where their freedoms are extremely limited

However in a free and open society people will put up with just so much of that and may well rebel. I know I wouldn't take it. When I see Jillian I usually turn the channel or leave the room. I really don't think she's all that pretty.
