Help, my drug costs just went from about $45 a month to over $325! Why? I fell into the donut hole on Medicare. I can't afford this, it' over 25% of my monthly income. I'm on 2 Diabetic pills, 3 for High Blood Pressure, 1 for cholestrol and insulin, plus costs for pen needles and test strips, It's the insulin that's so expensive, I take 120 units a day of Lantus Solostar. I already get extra help paying for drugs, and because I'm on Medicare the drug companies won't help. Does anyone know of an alturnative to insulin that's cheep? Or do I have to choose between my drugs and food and electricity?
