I have had Diabetes type 2 for 3 years and I am still taking pills. I think I am doing pretty good. Having Diabetes isn't easy. You have to watch everything!!!

Howdy Bill! WELCOME to DC and to the club nobody WANTS to join (the club of Persons with Diabetes!

I agree with you Bill that it IS a difficult condition and requires a lot of time and attention from us to manage it right. But that being said, it IS a managable condition, and we may be at least thankful that we don't have other conditions which we cannot manage very well at all.

Blessings to you and yours

Hello Bill, I too have type 2, and yes I agree. Once I got past the denial stage and attended a diabetic education class I finally have the beast under control. Great numbers in the am 80 to 90 and seldom over 130 after meals. I too take pills but have been insulin free since Aug 2nd. You will find a lot of great information and support.
Be blessed,

I so agree with you about having diabetes is not easy…It is a everyday job that requires my total attention…by watching the food/portions, testing 3 x day and walking 5 miles a day . So far, no meds or insulin but I have to watch it everyday…
