After being diagnosed with what is not being called pre-diabetes, i talked my 56 year old father into getting tested as well. Turns out he is pre-diabetic if not full blown diabetic. My question is, any of you guys out there have a heart condition that requires meds (Beta Pace preferably) and experience higher sugar readings? Everything we are reading says it can hide the effects of low BG symptoms because it prevents the heart from racing, but no real answer on BG levels. Also anyone know a good free website for chair exercises? He is chair bound due to numerous heart surgeries and a Defibulator in his chest to keep heart from racing, so he need a medium cardio exercise program that is mostly chair done with little walking.

Thanks for all the help =)

I was diagnosed with pre diabetes a few years ago. My doctor now says there is no such thing. You are either diabetic or you're not. I would consult a physical therapist. My mother is chair bound, not with diabetes, she will be 101 this month.
