what can you do for mentally challenged person with high bsl, please give me some input

Wow that's a tough one. I am guessing you are this person's caretaker or family member? You will need to be very dilligent with them as they probably won't understand that they can't eat certain foods now. If it's not in the house and not available I guess that would be the easiest way to have them avoid it. Perhaps a diabetes educator could help you explain the food to them, even if it's just portion size with the plastic food samples. Like I said this is a tough one. wow For added exercise I would make a game of it and go for walks and look at the pretty trees and birds etc… not emphasize that it's exercise… just looking at nice things Collect stones, leaves, garbage… anything to get them out exercising.

I wish I could be of more help.. I have a soft spot in my heart for the mentally challenged.
