I myself have went from having one doctor to several. They are Family Doctor, Certified Diabetic Educator, Podiatrists, Nutritionists, Eye Doctor, and the Gyno since I am a femail. LOL This is my basic team however one is MIA due to having a baby. Yet half the time only I know what works for me, thus I have to keep them on the same page. The Family doctor is for blood work and shots i.e. flu. The CDE helps with most of the diabetic side (not always). The Podiatrist is my foot doctor to help me keep my feet healthy. Nutritionist who is MIA for now, helps me with other issues like nutrition for diabetes. The Eye doctor to make sure my eyes are healthy and watch out for diabetic complications. The Gyno/OB for femail aka female issues. That is my list as of now. I hope this helps as it was meant too.

There are so many medications for diabetes alone. Our medical professionals have to do the trial and error game as they try to find what will work for us. It is so hard to tell sometimes if they are working well to help us or they just do not know or care. The type ones have it so much worse then us type twos. I did not realize that before coming here.
I think that one of the most important thing especially for those trying to get control is good open communication with your health care professional. My opinion too is that when you have problems and they say continue to take this, it is a good time to try to find a professional who will listen.
I know I got off track here.
