How was your prediabetes diagnosed? I had a strange experience. I was considered pre-diabetic for a year. Because of a A1C 6.5 last year. The ADA was just in the process of changing the 7% to 6.5%. So I didn't get a lot of help. So I asked my doctor for a GTT (glucose tolerance test). and that is what helped them DX me as diabetic. Just curious about your numbers. I know we are a nosey bunch but it helps to have some facts. At the 6.5% I was labeled Impaired Fasting Glucose. Semantics.

how my friend got to be diabetic ?
