My advice is never go off our meds, I did for a while and paid for it. Not only with my diabetes but every thing else also. I did it because of money issues. But finally decided that our meds had to come first for our health so we were around for our children and grandchildren.

No, I don't go without meds. I see how sick my son is and I don't want to get that bad. Besides, a few extra pounds are better than being blind or worse.

I am not on meds, does that count? I see how so many of you struggle with weight gain because of meds that help your sugars. That is just a crummy place to have to be. So I figure that if I keep loosing weight, by the time I get to be on meds, maybe I won't have to worry if I gain a little...in theory anyway.

You have such a great attitude about it. I admire that.

The way I look at it, there is no point in grumping about it. I will get in to a doctor when I can afford it, and until then, I am on my own. Well, not really, you guys help me out so much, it really does make a difference when you have people looking out for you. I appreciate everyone here who does.

I have always took my meds. I do ocassionally forget to take them. I just say woops and go on. I have thought about not taking my meds to see what happened.I am tired of paying so much for prescriptions.I don't draw that much anyway.

No i figured I would just be fat but be on meds. Because the alternative would be worst. i would be thinner but miserable.
