Just came from the Doc on my quarterly visit. Good news was my A1C which was 10.4 three months ago, and an eye doc said to bring it down 1 point by Dec., well…the new test was 7.4! Getting there has been so hard, and not recommended but for me it is working. Can't afford much in the way of food, only have $50 a month so nothing fancy. Mostly eating just one meal a day usually four scrambled eggs topped with a half cup of quinoa, or quinoa pepper salad. But oddly enough, my BG has been controlled. So, more of the same and hopefully the lower I go! And I lost 12 pounds. But bummer is the right sciatic nerve damage has surfaced after being controlled the last 1.5 years, get only 2-3 hours of sleep a night.

Fantastick A1c results. Sorry for the added sciatic problems. Getting by on only 2 to 3 hrs of sleep a night has a way of making you miserable. Been there, have the surgery scars that helped get rid of the problem.

Good job on the A1C! As for the sciatic problem - if it's not one thing it's another! Hoping the medicine tweaking will help!

Congratulations on the 7.4. Sorry to hear about the Sciatic problem. They can really hurt. Hope it gets better for you. What does your doctor say on it?

Three options: Therapy (can't afford this), epidural shots (works but not until absolutely necessary), tweak medications. Opted for the last but nothing for the pain though. And a fourth option, surgery, but only when the other three will not ever work, and biting on the bullet finally doesn't work.
